The BBC clearly don't like this move - the whole tone of the live reporting blog is negative toward the decsision - too many to list here.
The whole live reporting was written by Flora Drury and Max Matza - they must be knackered!

gUARDIAN - Nigel Farage is 'person of interest' in FBI investigation into Trump and Russia

GUARDIAN ARTICLE

Nigel Farage is a “person of interest” in the US counter-intelligence investigation that is looking into possible collusion between the Kremlin and Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, the Guardian has been told.

Sources with knowledge of the investigation said the former Ukip leader had raised the interest of FBI investigators because of his relationships with individuals connected to both the Trump campaign and Julian Assange, the WikiLeaks founder whom Farage visited in March

This is CAB's favourite paragraph - "Farage has not been accused of wrongdoing and is not a suspect or a target of the US investigation. But being a person of interest means investigators believe he may have information about the acts that are under investigation and he may therefore be subject to their scrutiny."
Speaks for itself really.

bbc - BBC election audience 'rigorously' selected - ComRes

BBC ARTICLE

"The polling company chosen to select the audience for the BBC's election debate has defended its political make-up amid claims of "left-wing bias".

Andrew Hawkins, founder of ComRes, said the recruitment of people to watch the seven-way debate had been "more complex" than he had ever witnessed.

He said five of the parties were left of centre - which meant "cheering is going to be skewed in one direction".

But Boris Johnson said the debate was an "echo chamber for left-wing views""

Well that doesn't seem to be much of a denial from ComRes and it doesn't seem to be a denial or even a comment from the BBC. Guilty, much?

INDEPENDENT - Donald Trump is stressed out, isolated and gaining weight, says new report

INDEPENDENT ARTICLE

"Donald Trump is becoming increasingly isolated and stressed as the demands of the Presidency take its toll, according to a new report.

"He now lives within himself, which is a dangerous place for Donald Trump to be," one source close to Mr Trump told CNN.

"I see him emotionally withdrawing. He's gained weight. He doesn't have anybody whom he trusts."

The President was already “in a pretty glum mood” before his first foreign trip to the Middle East and Europe, according to the source"

BBC election debate: Five key things

BBC ARTICLE -

"Senior politicians from seven parties - although not the prime minister - took part in the BBC election debate on Wednesday.

Home Secretary Amber Rudd went head-to-head with Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, Lib Dem leader Tim Farron, UKIP's Paul Nuttall, SNP deputy leader Angus Robertson, Green co-leader Caroline Lucas and Plaid Cymru's Leanne Wood.

Defending her absence, Mrs May said she preferred "taking questions and meeting people" on the campaign trail rather than "squabbling" with other politicians.

Here are five key themes from the showdown."

CAB thoughts -

The BBC's five key themes were
1. Where's Theresa?
2. Magic money trees
3.Clash over immigration
4. The coalition of chaos
5. Farron packed in punchlines

Interestingly, the BBC do not seem to mention in the list the accusations of bias mentioned by some commentators and other online publishers, including ITV's Robert Peston -

You may guess my views on immigration but odd that this "balanced" BBC audience is clearly much keener on immigration than much of UK
    — Robert Peston (@Peston) May 31, 2017

The accusations seem to be a big talking point for everyone else so strange they are not in the list of five themes.

The formal response from the BBC was thus:

“The BBC commissioned polling company ComRes to recruit an audience that is representative of the country demographically and politically.

“They have lots of experience doing this.

“This covered age; gender; ethnicity; socio-economic; party politics; how they voted in EU referendum; and some undecided.”

GUARDIAN: Portland man accused of fatal train stabbing has outburst in court

GUARDIAN - ARTICLE

"The man accused of fatally stabbing two men in Portland, Oregon, when they tried to shield young women from his anti-Muslim tirade, made repeated outbursts in court on Tuesday, including shouting: “You call it terrorism, I call it patriotism!”

Jeremy Joseph Christian, 35, was in Multnomah County courtroom Tuesday afternoon for his first court appearance on two counts of felony aggravated murder and other charges for the Friday attack.

Authorities say Christian started verbally abusing two young women, including one wearing a hijab. Three men on the train intervened before police say Christian attacked them, killing two and wounding one. "
